Ishlatilishi:

Suxbat davomida sodir bo`layotgan ish-harakatlarida.

Tim is doing the dishes at the moment.
Tim hozir idishlarni yuvyapti.

Kim and Jo are looking for a flat these days.
Kim va Jo hozirda kvartira qidirishmoqda.


Hozirgi zamonda o`zgarayotgan yoki rivojlanayotgan narsalar haqida gapirganda.

My English is getting better and better these days.
Shu kunlarda mening ingliz tilim yaxshilanmoqda


• Rejalashtirilgan, vaqti aniq, yaqin kelajakdagi ish-xarakatlarida.

Ayrim fe`llarga -ing qo`shimchasi qo’shilmaydi. Bunday fe’llar ingliz dilida “Stative verbs” deb ataladi.Bular:

like, love, dislike, hate, enjoy, prefer,
see, hear, smell, taste, feel, look, sound,
know, believe, understand, realise, remember, forget, notice, think,
see (= understand), be, contain, include, belong, fit, need, matter, cost, mean, own, want, owe, have (= possess), weigh, wish, keep (= continue).
